Notwithstanding existing details and contact information on application forms, while we undertake a review and update of our application forms please direct all inquiries regarding application forms and process to planningadmin@kawarthalakes.ca or call 705-324-9411 extension 1231.
The Planning and Development division of our Development Services department is responsible for processing the following development applications. Please note while we review and update our development Application forms and guides, and notwithstanding the number of copies previously required, please submit the following:
- One (1) original signed Application form, duly commissioned
- One (1) copy of the signed, commissioned Application form
- Two (2) copies of all supplementary information (i.e. Site plan, Sketch, Parcel Register, Planning Justification Report, Environmental Impact Study, etc.)
- An electronic submission containing the above on a USB flash drive, or using a file share service (i.e. ZendTo, etc.)
Consent (Severance) |
Step 1: Consult with Planning Staff Please contact the Planning Division to speak with staff prior to submitting a Consent Inquiry or Consent application. Staff will review your proposal and provide direction on the appropriate next step. It may be determined that a Consent Inquiry is required to provide further details on the proposal and to allow staff to complete a more in-depth review. Minor Variance |
Step 1: Consult with Planning Staff Please contact the Planning Division to speak with staff prior to submitting a Minor Variance Application. Staff will assess the merits of the proposed variances and provide guidance for completing the application form. Staff can also review the application form prior to formal submission to ensure it is complete and provide comments on any required changes. Step 2: Submit a Minor Variance Application |
Preconsultation |
Preconsultation is recommended prior to submission of a development application for Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, and Plan of Subdivision or Condominium. |
