Downtown Revitalization

Kawartha Lakes Downtown Revitalization Program

The City of Kawartha Lakes invests in its Downtowns.

Downtowns in Kawartha Lakes are rich with history and unique identifiers that distinguish them from neighbouring towns. As key contributors to the visitor economy, they serve as central commercial districts in each community, and are home to over 400 locally owned and operated specialized retailers, independent restauranteurs and service providers.

Completed Downtown Revitalization Action Plans

From 2017-2021 the City of Kawartha Lakes worked with local communities to improve the downtowns of Coboconk, Norland, Fenelon Falls, Lindsay and Omemee.

A tremendous amount of work was accomplished, and data collected. You can access full reports and see detailed plans for each community by clicking on the pictures below.

This project is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the City of Kawartha Lakes.
