Council meeting broadcasts - YourTV and RogersTV
Most Regular City Council Meetings and Committee of the Whole meetings are broadcast live on YourTV (Cogeco Subscribers Channel 10, HD Channel 700). Live broadcasts begin on the Tuesdays of the meetings at 1:00pm. YourTV typically rebroadcasts these meetings on the following Wednesday at 9:00am, and Saturday at 12:00pm.
RogersTV also re-broadcasts Regular Council meetings. Broadcasts are typically on the Sunday following a Council Meeting, at 1:00pm on Cable Cable channel 26, Rogers Ignite channel 548. For more information and a schedule, please visit RogersTV North Durham-Kawartha.
Livestreaming
Meetings held in Council Chambers are live streamed and archived on the Kawartha Lakes You Tube channel.
Volunteer to be a camera operator
The City, with support from YourTV, recruits volunteers to operate audio and visual recording equipment in the Council Chamber at City Hall in Lindsay. Volunteers operate multiple cameras from a single control panel and enable Council Meetings to be broadcast on CogecoTV.
The commitment is one or two afternoons per month, we provide training and no experience is necessary. Volunteering qualifies for high school volunteer hours (however requires a student to miss some class time), and is an excellent addition to any resume.
If you are interested please submit a letter of interest to the Clerk's Department located at City Hall, 26 Francis Street in Lindsay or E-Mail the City Clerk's Office to send it electronically.
