Kawartha Lakes – The annual Lindsay Milk Run is set to return on Sunday July 21 and the Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Division is seeking responsible and energetic volunteers to assist at this year’s event.
The Lindsay Milk Run features both 5 and 10 kilometer races which start and end at the Lindsay Recreation Complex.
Event volunteers are needed from approximately 6:30am to 11am to assist with a variety of duties both at the Lindsay Recreation Complex as well as along the race route. Volunteer roles to be filled for event include, traffic control and course marshalling, bib pick up, route water stations, assisting with awards, event set up and tear down.
This is an exciting opportunity for students to gain their community services hours or for individuals of all ages to get involved in a fun-filled community tradition.
All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt, refreshments, sign off on volunteer hours (if requested) and a chance to be part of a fun, annual community event.
Interested volunteers are invited to complete a Volunteer Application online by visiting the Careers and Volunteering page of the municipal website.
