Kawartha Lakes – Kawartha Lakes is excited to share that the 2025 Municipal Calendar is coming soon.
This year, due to the Canada Post strike, we are unable to deliver the calendars through the mail. The calendar will be delivered as a flyer in the December 12 edition of the Kawartha Lakes Weekly (KLW) newspaper. Delivery of the KLW newspaper happens from Tuesday to Thursday each week depending on location.
For residents that don’t receive the Kawartha Lakes Weekly newspaper, the calendar will be available at more than 70 pickup locations around the municipality.
The 2025 Municipal Calendar includes the weekly curbside collection schedule, landfill locations and hours of operation, helpful waste tips and tricks as well as important dates for waste management and community events taking place throughout the year.
What’s new this year
This year we’re happy to include a second tear-out page with a year-end message from our Mayor and Council, as well as a handy Who to Call, When page that shows you who to call for various situations.
Where can I pick-up copies of the 2025 Municipal Calendar?
The 2025 Municipal Calendar is being distributed to over 70 pick-up locations across the municipality, including all Municipal Service Centres and Kawartha Lakes Public Library branches as well as select locations across Kawartha Lakes. As of December 20, the calendars are now available for pickup.
To see a full list of pickup locations, visit the municipal calendar page on the website.
That’s a Wrap calendar artwork
Returning this year, the calendar features artwork from local artists that were selected from the That’s a Wrap art program. The municipality, in collaboration with Kawartha Arts Network, launched the That’s a Wrap art program in the summer of 2022. The goal of the program was to enliven our downtowns with eye-popping artwork that captures and displays the individual and collective experiences of our community on traffic control boxes around the municipality. Along with wrapping the traffic boxes, thirteen submissions from the program were selected to be the monthly artwork for the 2025 Municipal Calendar. This year’s theme was agriculture and rural life in Kawartha Lakes. View the artwork and traffic box locations here.
