Boil Water Advisory for the Pinewood Drinking Water System in Pontypool has been rescinded

Kawartha Lakes - Tuesday April 1, 2025 at 6pm - The Boil Water Advisory issued on Sunday, March 30, 2025 for the Pinewood Drinking Water System located in the Village of Pontypool, Ontario has been rescinded by the Medical Officer of Health.

Persons using the water supply from the Pinewood Drinking Water System are no longer required to boil their drinking water.  The water is safe for human consumption.

Note: So far, BWAs have been rescinded for the Sonya Drinking Water System and the Pinewood Drinking Water System. Residents within the following Drinking Water Systems, are still under Boil Water Advisories:

Norland Drinking Water System

Woodfield Drinking Water System, Bethany

Manorview Drinking Water System, Bethany

All other municipal drinking water systems in Kawartha Lakes remain operational and water is safe to drink.
