City of Kawartha Lakes holiday hours and closures

Transit

Lindsay Transit buses will be operating as usual this year with no service interruptions during the holiday season. All buses will operate on their regular schedule during December and January.

Holiday Landfill Hours

Saturday, December 24: landfill hours are 9am to 1pm at the Lindsay Ops, Fenelon and Eldon landfills. All other landfills are closed.

Sunday, December 25: all waste facilities are closed.

Monday, December 26: all waste facilities are closed.

Saturday, December 31: landfill hours are 9am to 1pm at the Lindsay Ops, Fenelon and Eldon landfills. All other landfills are closed.

Sunday, January 1: all waste facilities are closed.

Holiday Curbside Collection Schedule

There will be no curbside waste and recycling collection on Monday, December 26, collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. Waste and Recycling will be picked up on your usual collection day the week of January 2. Remember, clear bag waste collection becomes mandatory on January 1, 2017. Parks & Recreation

The Parks Recreation and Culture Administration Office will be closed at 12pm on December 23, and will re-open at 8:30am on January 3, 2017.

The Lindsay Recreation Complex and Forbert Memorial Pool will close at 12pm on December 23 and will be closed December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 1.

All other recreation facilities will close at 12pm on December 24 and December 31 and will be closed December 25, 26 and January 1.

Human Services

All offices both in Lindsay (322 Kent St. W. and 37 Lindsay St. S.) and in Haliburton (49 Maple Ave.) will be open December 28, 29 and the morning of December 30 until 12pm.

All offices will close at 12pm on December 23, and will be closed on December 24,25,26,27. Offices will also be closed at 12pm on December 30 and remain closed on December 31, January 1 and January 2.

Kawartha Lakes Public Library

All City library branches will be closed on December 24,25,26,31 and January 1.
