Construction Notice: Kent Street from Highway 35 to Angeline Street to start April 29, 2025

Kawartha Lakes – The City of Kawartha Lakes has retained Four Seasons Site Developments Ltd. to undertake a pavement-resurfacing project on Kent Street West in Lindsay from Highway 35 North to Angeline Street.  

Project Scope:

• Repair sewer maintenance holes
• Mill the existing asphalt pavement
• Stabilize the road base
• Place two new layers of asphalt pavement
• Minor curb and sidewalk repairs

The project is anticipated to start April 29, 2025. The first phase of the project is prep work that includes repairing the sewer maintenance holes, along with the curb and sidewalk replacements. Prep work is anticipated to take five weeks. Working hours are expected to be 7am to 7pm, Monday through Friday. The contractor will be permitted to close a single lane during this phase; access to entrances will be maintained but some minor disruptions may be unavoidable.

Once all of the preparation work has been completed the major paving operations will start. To minimize the impact on traffic and local businesses the major paving operations will be completed at night between the hours of 7pm and 7am. During the nighttime work, sections of the road will be reduced to one lane with flagging operations. Dates for the nighttime work will be shared once they are confirmed.

The project as a whole is anticipated to be completed by June 30, 2025.
