Council to review policies and by-laws at Special Council Meeting

Kawartha Lakes – At the July 16 Committee of the Whole meeting, Council will review the following existing policies and by-laws and debate the changes necessary to each.

• High Water Bill Adjustment and Mandatory Service Connection Appeals Committee which is governed by the By-Law 2018-039 A By-law to Regulate Water and Wastewater Services in the City of Kawartha Lakes
• By-Law 2014-255 A By-Law To Require Owners of Buildings to Connect Such Buildings to Drinking Water Systems and/or Wastewater Collection Systems In the City of Kawartha Lakes. For more information on municipal service connections, visit our website.

• Seasonal Level of Service Policy (2017-001), as it relates to the service level and maintenance of unassumed roads.

Following the direction provided by Council, staff will bring back amended documents for review at a later Council meeting.

The Special Council meeting will begin at 10am in Council Chambers on July 16.
