Disc Golf loaner sets now available through Library

Kawartha Lakes – Have you wanted to try disc golf but do not have the equipment? Get ready to tee off this spring at the Memorial Park Disc Golf Course. The City of Kawartha Lakes Parks, Recreation and Culture Division in partnership with the Kawartha Lakes Public Library are pleased to announce the introduction of Disc Golf loaner sets to their online resource catalogue.

Loaner sets are perfect for individuals who are new to the sport and are wanting to try it out but do not have the equipment to play. Disc Golf loaner sets are free to sign out with a valid library card. Each loaner kit comes with two complete set of discs, rules of the game and a reusable scorecard. Kits can be signed out for a period of one-week.

Patrons can view the Library online catalogue by visiting: www.kawarthalakeslibrary.ca and searching ‘disc golf’ or by calling their local library branch. Disc golf sets can be picked up any library branch, but reservations must be made in advance.

In order to take part in the loaner program, individuals must possess a valid library card. Kawartha Lakes Library Cards are available free of charge to anyone living, attending school or owning property in the City of Kawartha Lakes. Don’t have a card?
