Kawartha Lakes – Please be advised that following an inspection of the Elm Tree Road Bridge it has been determined that the northbound lane of the bridge is in need of bridge deck repairs.

As a result, the northbound lane of the bridge will be closed until the repairs can be performed.

Currently at the bridge, traffic control lights are in place to direct north and southbound traffic over the southbound lane of the bridge. Members of the traveling public are asked to treat this location like they would a normal traffic light intersection.

Repairs to the northbound lane are anticipated to take 2 to 3 weeks. After which the lane will be re-opened and the temporary traffic lights will be removed.

Further long-term repairs to the bridge are anticipated to take place in 2025.

Thank you for your patience as we work through the repairs, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
