Kawartha Lakes – Please note the following changes to our hours of operation and service schedules on Monday February 19, 2024 (Family Day).
Administration Offices
All Administration and Municipal Service Centres are open during regular hours of operation on Monday February 19.
Waste and Recycling
Landfills will operate at regular scheduled hours on February 19.
Please be advised that for the week of February 19, all curbside collection will take place one day later than your normal collection day:
- Monday February 19 curbside collection will be on Tuesday February 20
- Tuesday February 20 curbside collection will be on Wednesday February 21
- Wednesday February 21 curbside collection will be on Thursday February 22
- Thursday February 22 curbside collection will be on Friday February 23
Public Library
The following Library branches will be open during Family Day:
- Bobcaygeon: 12:30pm to 7pm
- Dalton: 10am to 4pm
- Fenelon: 10am to 5pm
- Lindsay: 10am to 8pm
- Little Britain: 10am to 2pm
- Norland: 10am to 6pm
- Woodville: 10am to 4pm
Visit the Lindsay branch for a Tabletop Games Tournament or to hang out with turtles from Turtle Guardians!
The Dalton branch is hosting a String Art craft and the Fenelon Falls branch is hosting Soap Carving.

Lindsay Transit
Transit services are running during regular hours of operation on February 19.
Parks and Recreation
All Parks and Recreation facilities are open during scheduled programming and rental hours on February 19.
Regular fitness programs will not run at the Victoria Park Armoury on Family Day.
Fitness programming at the Lindsay Recreation Complex will be modified on February 19. There will be three drop-in classes running on Family Day. To view the schedule and register, visit the Online Program Registration website. All other fitness classes will be cancelled and Aquatics Programming will not take place on Family Day.

Public Skating
In partnership with Wards Lawyers PC there is a Free Public Skate at all of our Community Centres on Family Day this year:
- Lindsay Recreation Complex: 1:15pm to 2:15pm
- Fenelon Falls Community Centre: 2pm to 3pm
- Woodville Community Centre: 3:30pm to 4:30pm
- Manvers Community Centre: 4pm to 5pm
- Emily/Omemee Community Centre: 4pm to 5pm
- Bobcaygeon/Verulam Community Centre: 5pm to 6pm
- Oakwood Community Centre: 5pm to 6pm
- Little Britain Community Centre: 7:30pm to 8:30pm
Limited space is available, participants are encouraged to register for their desired skate up to 14 days in advance through the Kawartha Lakes Online Program Registration website.
Public Swimming
In partnership with Buckeye Marine, we’re hosting a Free Public Swim on Family Day at the Forbert Memorial Pool in Bobcaygeon from 9:30am to 11am.
Family Day Public Swimming will also be available at the Lindsay Recreation Complex (LRC), regular admission rates will apply, for the following swim times:
- Fitness Swim: 6:15am to 8am
- Fun Swim: 10am to 12pm
- Adult Swim: 12pm to 1pm
- Fun Swim: 2pm to 4pm
- Fun Swim: 6pm to 8pm
- Fitness Swim: 8pm to 9pm
Participants are encouraged to pre-register to reserve a swim space in advance using our Online Program Registration website. Walk in reservations and payment will be accepted on site when space allows. Regular Pool Admission Standards will apply to all LRC Family Day swims listed above.
