Fleming invites participation in new strategic planning process
Kawartha Lakes - Fleming College is inviting community members, students and employees to participate in the development of a new strategic plan for the college.
Themed “Stepping Up and Standing Out”, the planning process kicked off on Monday, January 14 with a special launch event followed by the first in a series of interactive sessions being held over the coming weeks at the college campuses.
Fleming president Maureen Adamson introduced the process and leadership team steering the process. “Since my arrival late last year, I’ve undertaken a concerted effort to listen to constituents in all of our communities. It is now time to create a new collective roadmap for the future of Fleming College. We have created several opportunities for participation through facilitated sessions and digital feedback tools. I look forward to your feedback on how Fleming can step up to more effectively support our communities, and stand out as a unique education destination,” said Adamson. “This is about participatory change and community partnership.”
“The Board is very excited about the development of this new plan,” said Dan Marinigh, Chair of the Fleming Board of Governors. “We recognize that it is time for change and the President and her team assembled has the full support of the Board as they seek the feedback from all constituents and develop a plan to shape our shared future.”
The next public meeting being held is on January 24 at their Frost Campus in Lindsay. The event will run from 4:00pm - 5:30pm.
Information on the process, team members and session registration is available on the college’s strategic planning website www.flemingcollege.ca/strategicplanning2019.
