Free car seat clinic by the Paramedic Service takes place this weekend

Free car seat inspections will be completed by certified paramedic car seat installation technicians at Canadian Tire Lindsay, 377 Kent Street West.

“A correctly installed car seat can reduce the risk of fatal injury by 71% and the risk of serious injury by 67%,” explains Paramedic Chief Keith Kirkpatrick. “Unfortunately, it is estimated that 80% of all car seats are installed incorrectly.”

The car seat clinic is an opportunity for paramedics to provide Kawartha Lakes parents and caregivers peace of mind with the knowledge that their car seats are safely installed.
