Whether you bundle up and take your adventures outdoors or grab your swim suit and Jump In; there is plenty to see and do, the adventure is up to you!

Logie Skating Loop Storywalk – Logie Park, 325 Logie Street, Lindsay

The new Skating Loop at Logie Park in Lindsay is the first of its kind in Kawartha Lakes; this outdoor refrigerated skating loop is 133 linear feet by 91 linear feet and features a natural stone seating area for skaters to sit and take a rest during skating. This Family Day, the Parks and Recreation Division in partnership with the Kawartha Lakes Public Library are pleased to offer a winter themed Storywalk at the Logie Skating Loop. A Storywalk is a fun way to pair literacy with physical activity. To learn more visit the Kawartha Lakes Public Library website.

Outdoor Rinks

There are a variety of community operated Outdoor Ice Rinks throughout the municipality that are now open for the season. Rinks are subject to weather conditions, hours of operation may vary and skaters are encouraged to wear helmets at all times.

Trails and Municipal Forest Tracts

Winter is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy the beauty of the season. With the right winter gear and a bit of planning ahead of time exploring local trails and municipal Forest Tracts are a great way to get some fresh air and be active.

The Victoria Rail Trail is an 85 kilometre rail trail with corridors linking Kinmount to Bethany through Fenelon Falls and Lindsay. Winter Outdoor Fun Guide

The Winter Outdoor Fun Guide publication has been created by the Parks and Recreation Division to serve as a resource for a variety of fun, self-directed outdoor activities for you to enjoy with friends and family this winter. Public Skating and Public Swimming

Prefer to take your adventures indoors? we are pleased to offer a variety of Public Skating and Public Swimming opportunities at a variety of facilities on Family Day. 

Pre-registration is required for all programs, participants can register for their desired skate or swim up to 7 days in advance. Limited space is available in each program.

Registration and payment will take place exclusively online through the Kawartha Lakes Online Program Registration website.

Registered program participants and patrons will be required to adhere to the City of Kawartha Lakes Proof of Vaccination Protocols. Applicable patrons (ages 12 years and older) will be required to use the enhanced Provincial vaccine certificate with QR code as proof of vaccination when accessing municipal recreation facilities.
