History comes alive through theatre workshops

KAWARTHA LAKES—Live History Theatre Company is coming to the Bobcaygeon and Lindsay branches of Kawartha Lakes Public Library this summer.  Live History Theatre Company specializes in bringing local history to life through workshops which feature local stories and personalities. The workshops will teach both adults and children about their local history in a whole new light.  The company uses site-specific theatre, a unique style of performance, using the space and atmosphere around them to create small, intimate theatre productions brimming with realism.

Workshops will be held Tuesday, July 11 at 11am in the Bobcaygeon branch and at 2pm at the Lindsay branch.  Aspiring actors, history buffs and anyone between the ages of 8 and 108 wanting to learn more about local history are invited to register for this unique experience.  Call the library (Bobcaygeon 705-738-2088; Lindsay 705-324-5632) to confirm your participation.
