Kawartha Lakes holiday hours and closures
KAWARTHA LAKES— All City of Kawartha Lakes administration offices will close at 12pm on December 22 and re-open at 8:30am on January 2, 2018. This includes:
- City Hall
- Municipal Service Centres
- Public Works administration
- Parks, Recreation and Culture administration
- Fire and Rescue administration
- Paramedic Service administration
- Provincial Offences Office
Waste services
There will be no curbside waste and recycling collection on Christmas Day or New Years Day. Waste and recycling collection will occur one day later than usual during the weeks of December 25 and January 1. To avoid being missed, place waste at the curb no later than 7am.
All City landfills will be closed on December 25, December 26 and January 1. Laxton landfill will be open on December 24 and 31 from 9 am to 1 pm, all other landfills will be closed.
Recreation facilities and fitness centres
The Lindsay Recreation Complex and Forbert Memorial Pool will close at 12pm on Friday, December 22 and will also be closed December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 1.
All other Recreation Facilities will close at 12:00pm on December 24 and December 31 and will be closed December 25, 26 and January 1.
Lindsay Transit
There will be no Lindsay Transit service on December 25 and January 1.
Kawartha Lakes Public Library
All Library branches will be closed December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 1.
Library branches will be open their regularly scheduled hours from December 27to December 30.

Human Services
All offices both in Lindsay (322 Kent St. W. and 37 Lindsay St. S.) and in Haliburton (49 Maple Ave.) will be open on December 27, 28 and the morning of December 29 until 12pm.
All offices will close at 12pm on December 22, and will be closed on December 25 and 26. All offices will also be closed at 12pm on December 29 and remain closed on January 1 reopening on January 2.
