The Library also provides sets of books for community book clubs to borrow. Check the library website for a list of available titles. As always, Library staff are happy to assist and answer all your questions.
The library is also a meeting place for patrons with like interests and many Kawartha Lakes Library branches have planned monthly programs to match these interests. Bethany branch has a scrabble club, at Coboconk patrons enjoy crafts and coffee, quilting in Little Britain, needle crafts and djembe drumming in Kirkfield and knitting in Norland.
New this fall, starting October 3, the Fenelon Falls branch presents Monday events at 2pm with alternating themes such as “Colour Your World”, “IPad Mondays”, “BYOCraft” and “It’s all Games”.
Kawartha Lakes Library is partnering with Kawartha Art Gallery to present monthly Maker Space events at the gallery on the 2nd floor of the Lindsay Library from 10am – 1pm on September 17, October 15, and November 12. Maker Space events promote inventing, playing, designing and building together.
