Kawartha Lakes – In response to the recent ice storm, the municipality launched a curbside storm debris clean-up program to help residents with fallen tree and brush debris.
You can now track the progress of this program using the Storm Debris Clean-up Map on our website:
View the Storm Debris Clean-up Map
The map shows progress for both the Urban Area Clean-up and Rural Area Clean-up programs.
How to read the map
- For Urban Area Clean-up, find your hamlet, town, or village on the map. Areas that are complete are outlined and filled in green. Areas in progress are orange.
- The Rural Area Clean-up covers locations outside hamlet, town, and village boundaries. Roads that are complete are green, in progress are red, and not yet started are brown.
- Click on a road to find out which Zone it’s in. Then scroll further down the page (outside the map) to view the list of Zones and their estimated start times.
Using the map
There are two ways to search:
- Manual navigation – Click and drag the map to your location.
- Search function – Click the magnifying glass in the top-right corner and type in an address.
Important notes
- The map is updated daily based on the previous business day’s data. Updates entered today will appear tomorrow.
- Only one pass will be made in each area. If the map shows your area as complete, we won’t be returning.
- Please be patient as we continue working through the rest of the municipality. The urban program is nearly complete, but the rural program is expected to take a couple of months.
