Kawartha Lakes communities receive Canada Day funding

The following communities will receive funding for their 2017 Canada Day celebrations:

  • Lindsay, Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls, and Kinmount Canada Day Committees
  • Omemee Lions Club
  • Oakwood Firefighters Association
  • Coboconk, Norland & Area Chamber of Commerce

The funding will be applied toward the cost of various aspects of these events including fireworks, entertainment, promotions and logistics related expenses. Event details to be released closer to Canada Day.

The Canadian Heritage Celebrate Canada program encourages community members of all ages to attend Canada Day events to discover and appreciate the wealth and diversity of Canadian society.

These community events would not be possible without the generous support of the Canadian Heritage Celebrate Canada program, the City of Kawartha Lakes and the numerous community members and volunteers who donate their time to bring these events to life.
