Kawartha Lakes hosts public meetings for parents and community partners

For children 0 to 6 years of age, the OEYCFC programs and services will be child and family centred, welcoming, high quality, inclusive, integrated and community led. Core services of the OEYCFCs will include drop-in programs to encourage children’s exploration, play and inquiry, programs that foster child and parent engagement and information sharing about child development, parenting and nutrition.

On February 6 in Lindsay and February 13 in Haliburton, the Children’s Services Division of the City of Kawartha Lakes will be facilitating public consultations with parents, caregivers and community partners to inform planning and delivery of OEYCFC programs and services in Haliburton and Kawartha Lakes beginning in 2018.

The consultation meetings will include an introduction and summary of the goals of the OEYCFC as well as large and small group discussions. Information gathered during each session will be used by the City of Kawartha Lakes to develop an understanding of early years programming needs in Haliburton and Kawartha Lakes.
