Kawartha Lakes Public Library developing plan to resume specific services

Kawartha Lakes Public Library

Kawartha Lakes Library logoKawartha Lakes - Following the province's latest announcement of Stage 1 openings, public library services may resume for pickup as early as May 19, 2020.

While the Kawartha Lakes Public Library truly appreciates that library services are valued by the community, the library is delaying an immediate launch of such services until processes and measures have been fully developed to ensure the health and safety of our staff and customers during these uncertain times.

“While working to implement these processes and the procurement of necessary supplies, we are not yet able to predict exactly how, where and when these library services will be rolled out,” says Jamie Anderson, CEO and Library Director. “The Library will continue to keep everyone informed as decisions are made and plans are confirmed. We truly miss our customers and want to ensure they are enjoying our wide range of digital resources and services while staying healthy.”

Above all, the Library is here for you. All library material that is currently checked out has had the due dates automatically extended until July 2, 2020. For any questions or concerns, staff are responding to voicemails, emails and social media inquiries from Monday to Friday, 10am and 4pm. Please call the Kawartha Lakes Public Library main administration line at 705-324-9411, extension 1291 and leave a voicemail or email LibraryAdministration@kawarthalakeslibrary.ca.
