Kawartha Lakes Public Library new Children’s Program Brochure is now available

The Kawartha Lakes Public Library proudly provides a wide variety of educational programs for children of all ages and abilities. A sample of programs offered is highlighted below.

Weekly Storytime

There are several different Storytime sessions to choose from including Toddler Time, Mother Goose, 1,2,3 Baby’s on my Knee, and Family Storytime. “Stretch-a-Story” programs are also offered in partnership with the Ontario Early Years Centre.

Craft / Activities

Saturday morning and afterschool craft and activity programs are available at select library branches.

Read to the Dog

In partnership with the St. John Ambulance Therapy dog program, Read to the Dog is held at the Lindsay, Bethany, and Dunsford library branches. This program offers children an opportunity to practice their reading skills by reading aloud to a child-certified therapy dog.

Family Challenge Games Night

Family Challenge Games Night is new this fall and will be held at the Lindsay branch Monday evenings at 6 pm. Families will work together to earn points as they learn and play new games.
