Kawartha Lakes Public Library offers free Digital Music to patrons

The new music service will allow the Kawartha Lakes Public Library to increase the size and diversity of its collection by offering access to over 28,000 music labels from 101 different countries.

Registered cardholders of the Library can download a select number of Freegal Music MP3 files each week and stream three hours of music each day using the library website www.kawarthalakeslibrary.ca. The Freegal Music Service also has popular music videos for download.

The Freegal Music Service has free mobile apps for registered cardholders of subscribing libraries. Freegal Music apps are available in the Apple® App Store and Google Play®.

“We are very excited to provide a service that delivers great music, compatibility with lots of devices and simplicity of use. We think this will be incredibly popular with our patrons and will help the library in marketing all its services to the community,” said CEO/Chief Librarian of Kawartha Lakes Public Library, David Harvie.
