Kawartha Lakes – The municipality is updating its service levels following Ontario’s announcement the province is moving into a modified Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen on January 5, until at least January 26, 2022.

The health and safety of the community remains the municipality’s top priority and the spread of COVID-19 is being monitored closely with the support of our local Health Unit. Please keep in mind services may continue to change in the coming weeks and more information will be shared as it becomes available.

The full list of public health measures is available on the Ontario website. Restrictions include reductions to social gathering limits, closure of indoor dining, reduced capacity limits and/or closures for various indoor facilities as well as remote learning for schools until at least January 17.

Municipal Administration
All municipal service centres are closed until further notice (Bobcaygeon, Coboconk, Lindsay and Omemee). More information and services are available online and staff can be reached at 705-324-9411.

Drop boxes are still available at City Hall, Lindsay Service Centre, Coboconk Service Centre and Omemee Service Centre.

Community Services
All recreation facilities, including complexes, community centres, arenas, halls, fitness facilities and swimming pools are closed until further notice.

  • Winter programs scheduled to start in January 2022 are being delayed. Those registered for an aquatic, fitness or leisure program will be updated as more details become available. To withdraw from a program, please email recreation@kawarthalakes.ca.
  • Any drop in programs, including public swimming and skating, booked during the closure period will be automatically cancelled. Any fees paid for these programs will be fully refunded.
  • All pre-paid memberships will be extended for the duration that Kawartha Lakes facilities are closed. As of January 5, monthly charges to credit cards will be suspended and ongoing memberships cancelled. When operations resume, members can contact the Fitness Coordinator at cmcguigan@kawarthalakes.ca to reactivate their membership and monthly payments. A credit will be applied to accounts for any missed time that was pre-paid for during the closure.
  • Rental contracts at municipal facilities will be automatically cancelled and all fees fully refunded, if the facility is closed at the time of the booking. Staff will process the cancellation and contact clients to make arrangements for refunds. Cancellation requests can also be made to facilitybooking@kawarthalakes.ca.
