Labour Day hours and closures

KAWARTHA LAKES— As the long weekend approaches, the City of Kawartha Lakes would like to advise residents and visitors of Labour Day Holiday closures and special hours.

Waste and Recycling

Collection of waste and recycling in Kawartha Lakes will be pushed back one day during the week of September 4. For example, if your usual collection day is Monday, your collection will be moved to Tuesday.

Landfill hours on Monday, September 4:

Eldon: 11am – 5pm
Fenelon: 9am – 5pm
Laxton: 11am – 5pm
Lindsay Ops: closed
Somerville: 11am – 5pm

Kawartha Lakes landfills will return to regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday, September 5. For more information about landfills, visit www.kawarthalakes.ca/wasteandrecycling.

Public Library

All branches of Kawartha Lakes Public Library will be closed Monday, September 4 and will return to regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday, September 5. For more information about regular branch hours, please visit the library website at www.kawarthalakeslibrary.ca.

Municipal Service Centres

Municipal Service Centres will be closed on Monday, September 4 and will reopen Tuesday, August 5 at 8:30am.

Parks, Recreation and Culture

Parks, Recreation and Culture facilities will be closed August 7. Programs, such as camp, fitness and swimming, do not run on the holiday.

City Administration

All administrative offices will be closed on Monday, September 4 and will return to regular business hours on Tuesday, September 5.

Transit

There will be no transit service on Monday, September 4. Regular transit service will return on Tuesday, September 5.
