Notice of Sanitary Sewer Flushing in Lindsay

Civica Infrastructure will be conducting sanitary sewer flushing in various areas of Lindsay beginning in June 2022 and continuing until November 2022. See map below for service areas.

Hours of work will be 7am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. Residents will receive a notice within one to three business days of Civica conducting the flushing in your area.

This preventative maintenance process is necessary to remove settled and accumulated material and will facilitate visual inspections and condition assessments of the sewers.

During this process, Civica will be setting up apparatus at manholes in the roadway and releasing pressurized water through the sanitary sewer main pipe to remove any buildup. As a result, a bubbling and/or vacuum effect may be noticed in your drains and toilets. It is recommended that residents close all toilet seats and cover any floor drains. In addition, in order to prevent sewer gases from migrating into the home, it is important to refill all plumbing traps by running the water in your sinks and floor drains after the work is complete.
