Proposed Surplus Vacant Land Sale

Take Notice that, pursuant to By-law 2018-020, as amended, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes will hear a proposal to declare vacant land surplus legally described as Lot 27 on Plan 638, in the Geographic Township of Verulam, City of Kawartha Lakes, surplus to its needs at its Committee of the Whole meeting to be held on September 7, 2021 commencing at 1:00 p.m., followed by its Regular Council Meeting to be held on September 21, 2021 commencing at 1:00 p.m.  Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 26 Francis Street, Lindsay, Ontario. Should the proposal be approved, City Council will proceed to pass a by-law to stop up and close that part of the road allowance and authorize the sale of the land to the adjacent property owner.

A map showing that part of the road allowance to be stopped up and closed is on file and may be examined at the Realty Services office of the City of Kawartha Lakes at 26 Francis Street, Lindsay, Ontario.

And Take Further Notice that at the said meeting the Council shall hear in person or by their Counsel, Solicitor or Agent any person who claims that his or her land would be prejudicially affected by the by-law and who applies to be heard.
