Strawberry season is early and excellent!

Kawartha Lakes – Strawberry season has arrived early this year and growers are describing this year’s crop as excellent!  Pickers and strawberry lovers are encouraged to get them while they can as the season usually stretches from mid-June to mid-July. 

Fresh strawberries are available from several of our local farms as well as at Farmers’ Markets located across Kawartha Lakes. Whether you prefer to pick your own or buy your strawberries pre-picked, you will find locations that offer both options. In order to ensure there is a good supply of berries when you get there, be certain to call ahead for availability.
