Kawartha Lakes – Parks Canada advises the public to expect traffic interruptions at the Kirkfield Lift Lock from Monday February 12, 2024, to Friday February 16, 2024, from 7am to 5pm.
A partial lane closure on Kirkfield Road (County Road 6) is required to facilitate crane access to support the necessary repairs at the Kirkfield Lift Lock. Traffic controls, including flaggers and signage, will be in place as needed.
Parks Canada thanks area residents and visitors for their patience and understanding.
Parks Canada is leading this important infrastructure work to ensure safe, high-quality experiences for visitors by improving heritage, visitor, waterway, and highway assets located within national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas, including investments in the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site of Canada.
