Volunteers Needed for Lindsay Milk Run/KL21K Event

Responsible, energetic and reliable volunteers are needed to assist at the 40th Annual Lindsay Milk Run/KL21K Half Marathon.  This 5K/10K/21K event takes place on Sunday July 15, 2018.

The 5K and 10K division will start and finish at the Lindsay Recreation Complex. The KL21K Half Marathon is presented in partnership with Jamie Schmale Member of Parliament Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock. The Half Marathon will begin in Cameron, travel along the Victoria Rail Trail connecting up with the Lindsay Milk Run 10K route in Lindsay and finishing at the Lindsay Recreation Complex.

Volunteers are required from approximately 6:00am – 11:30am to assist with a variety of duties including Course Marshalling, Traffic Control, Registration, Water Station, Food Distribution, Set up and Tear down.

This is an opportunity for community members of all ages to get involved in a fun-filled community tradition. This is an opportunity for students to gain valuable community service hours.

All volunteers will receive a certificate of acknowledging their volunteer hour contributions, a Milk Run T-Shirt, refreshments and a chance to be part of this successful community event.
