Youth performers needed for summer Concerts in the Park series

girl playing violin outdoorsKawartha Lakes – The Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Division in partnership with the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce, and Lindsay Dodge are pleased to announce the return of the Concerts in the Park series to Lindsay this summer.

The series is scheduled to take place Wednesday evenings, at a new time of 6pm to 8pm and on Sunday afternoons 2pm to 4pm during July and August. All concerts will take place at the Frank Banks Gazebo in Victoria Park, Lindsay.

The 2023 series will once again be hosting Youth Open Mic Afternoons; these concerts will be open to local youth to showcase their talents during the series once per month. The Youth Open Mic performances will be open to individuals 18 years and younger. Performers will be invited to perform 3 songs or less during 15 minute sets. A PA system will be provided but youth performers will be required to provide any of their own additional equipment.

Youth Open Mic Afternoons are scheduled to take place on Sunday July 9 2pm to 4pm and Sunday August 6 2pm to 4pm. These concerts will be sponsored by Crtl V Lindsay – Virtual Reality Arcade.
