Concerts in the Park

2017 marks the 26th anniversary of our annual summer Concerts in the Park series.

Concerts in the Park provides community members with free outdoor concerts during the summer months. These family oriented concerts provide an opportunity to develop community spirit while enjoying and supporting local musicians.

All concerts take place at the Frank Banks Gazebo in Victoria Park, downtown Lindsay. Concerts are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm and Sunday afternoons from 2:00-4:00pm between July 2 and August 30, 2017.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join us for live entertainment this summer.

Jason Maxwell

Jason Maxwell is a singer-songwriter and recording artist from Thornhill. Jason has opened for Juno-nominee and Boots & Hearts regular Chad Brownlee. His first single Constellation Conversation can be heard on radio stations across the country. Visit his website or follow on him on Instagram.

Passport

Genre: classic rock

Passport

Passport has been performing for almost 25 years throughout Ontario and Manitoba. Founding member Gord Miller is joined by long-time musical partner John Woodhouse, Bob May, and Adam Woodhouse.

Passport's longevity has always been a result of two simple things - a love for great rock and roll, and a love for sharing it with their audience.

After hundreds of performances, Passport still delivers the goods with great tunes by artists such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, Creedence, and many others.

The Maevens

Genre: folk

The Maevens

The Maevens started as a Toronto based Folk-Rock band in 2004. They are influenced by artists such as Kathleen Edwards, Lucinda Williams and Sarah Harmer. Lead singer, songwriter and guitarist Kelly Burrows moved back to Kawartha Lakes in 2008. The band continued to play for a few years and took a hiatus to raise families and pursue individual musical projects.

Recently they have reunited and delight audiences with their earthy and thoughtful originals and crowd pleasing covers. Band members include Jason Lapidus, Myke Mazzei and Graydon James. Visit their website for more information.

Red, White, and Ace

If you enjoy the sounds of Gordon Lightfoot, John Prine, the Good Brothers and Crosby, Stills and Nash with a few originals thrown in then you will love Red, White and Ace. The group features "Red" John Gemmill, Geoff White and Len "Ace" Parker.

Northline

Returning again this summer to the Series Northline features the talents of Hal Turner, HH Banks and Boo Lynne. You can find their music on YouTube.

The Usual Suspects

Genre: rock and roll

The Usual Suspects

The Usual Suspects are a local band that plays rock and roll and classic southern rock from the 60's, 70's and 80's. You can expect to hear covers from bands like, The Band, The Hollies, Bruce Springsteen and The Beatles. Band members include J.C. Gambridge, Gary Rivet, Richard Wood and Rick Warren.

Justus 2.0

Genre: classic rock

Justus 2.0

Justus 2.0 is a band of seasoned local musicians from the Lindsay and Peterborough areas featuring Kathy Vandersanden and Randy Hill, Bill Brown, Rick Warren, and Joe Hiddink. They perform a wide variety of music from The Beatles and Everly Brothers to Blue Rodeo and more modern country and rock.

Nathan Bottomley

Genre: acoustic, pop, contemporary

Nathan Bottomley

Nathan Bottomley plays guitar and sings as a solo artist as well as with a band. He has a variety of influences including: Mark Hall, John Mayer, Chris Tomlin and Ed Sheeran. Nathan will perform an assortment of acoustic pop rock and indie originals both with a loop pedal and a band. Visit his website for more information.

Gary Peters

Gary Peters

Gary Peters is a local musician who enjoys playing at numerous venues in Lindsay, Oshawa, Woodville, Marmora and throughout the GTA. Gary performs traditional country music to satisfy the crowds who come to listen to him and dance to his music.

Side Street

Genre: rock, country and blues

Side Street

Side Street is a Lindsay band with a personality that reflects their passion for rock, country and blues. They offer high energy performances and a flair for making each song their own. Garage Escape

Genre: classic rock, blues and country

Garage Escape

Garage Escape describes themselves as six musicians who get together and play in the garage once a week. They perform hits from CCR, The Eagles, Dire Straits, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones and more. The group is made up of Don Daigle, Tom Smart, Marco Rivalto, Mike Teatro, Derrick Clarke and Lee Coville.

Emily Erhart

Genre: alternative pop

Emily Erhart

Emily Erhart is a singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Lindsay. Emily is a recent graduate from LCVI and has performed at a variety of events including Sounds on the Street, Boiling Over and the Peterborough Live Music Festival. Her distinct sound is influenced from the Lumineers, Coldplay, Birdy, Vance Joy and City and Colour.

FlashBack!

Genre: classic rock and oldies

Take a stroll down memory lane with Doug "Long Grain" rice and friends. FlashBack! returns this summer performing music from the 50's, 60's and whatever. Bring your dancing shoes as their performances tend to turn get the audience up out of their chairs and dancing!

The REACHERS

Genre: variety

The Reachers

The REACHERS are a Lindsay based band, consisting of members of Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge's REACH for Recovery Centre. The band showcases their musical talent; defies stigma associated with mental health challenges and instills hope for recovery. The REACHERS perform original songs along with a wide variety of music, from classics like CCR and Jimi Hendrix, to more modern rock like The Glorious Sons and The Lumineers.

Seabreeze

Genre: country, east coast, Irish and oldies

Seabreeze

Husband and wife duo Armand and Juanita White are returning for their sixth consecutive year to the Series. They will perform all your favourite country, east coast and oldies tunes. Their show is bound to have you tapping your toes and bopping to the beat.

Present Tense

Genre: variety

Present Tense

Present Tense is a group of guys just living in the moment. They are forty-ish, professional, family guys living in Peterborough and having a great time doing covers of their favorite hard rock, classic rock, grunge and metal tunes. They've been playing gigs, parties, and music festivals in the Peterborough area for the last few years. The band members are Joe Mahony, Ed Segura, Chris Gould and Grant Roberts.
