Forbert Memorial Pool and Workout Centre and Memberships

Adjacent to Forbert's three lane swimming pool is a fully equipped exercise centre.  A variety of free weights, multi-station selectorized equipment, stability balls, tubing, balance boards and more are available for a full body workout. Fitness classes are available for those wanting a group workout while burning calories.  All of this in a bright, air conditioned facility! a variety of Membership packages are offered.

Personal Training and Fitness Consulting services are also available.

2020 Forbert Memorial Workout Centre Memberships

Our Fitness Memberships give you access to the Fitness Room including use of cardio equipment, free weights and resistance equipment during regular hours of operation.

  • Patrons must be a minimum of 60 years of age to eligible for Senior pricing
  • Patrons must be 16 years or older to use the Workout Centre
  • Family includes 1 or both parents/guardians plus any dependent children residing at the same address

The Lindsay Recreation Complex boasts a 25 metre, 6 lane pool, a small therapeutic warm pool, saunas, change facilities and showers; 2 ice pads, a variety of aquatic and land fitness classes, a fully equipped weight training/cardiovascular fitness gym, a large bright aerobics studio with a cushioned maple floor, squash courts and community room. Residents of all fitness levels and with varying recreation interests can find something to suit them at the complex, all at affordable prices, offered year round.

Squash Courts

The Lindsay Recreation Complex features 2 International size Squash Courts available for reservation by both members and non-members.

Cost: Drop in play-as-you-go available for $8.20 plus applicable taxes per player for a maximum of two time slot bookings (40 minute time block). Racquets may be rented for $2.15 per use. Goggles and balls are available to borrow or purchase. Price subject to change. Contact Facility to confirm.

Hours of Operation:

Monday-Friday 6am to 10pm

Saturday and Sunday 6am to 8pm (for Members) and facility/office hours for non-Members.

Times may vary due to squash league nights or tournaments. Call to facility to confirm.

Reservation information:

Courts must be reserved a maximum of three days in advance. To reserve call 705-324-9112.

The Lindsay Recreation Complex offers a competitive squash ladder, social nights and opportunity to learn squash.

Please note any child under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.  It is mandatory for anyone under the age of 18 to wear protective eyewear. Please wear non-marking sole shoes.

  • The Facility is closed on Statutory Holidays;
  • Other closures and cancellations may occur, watch for postings and phone ahead to confirm hours of operation;
  • Swim, fitness class, skate and shinny schedules change seasonally, you can pick up a current schedule from the front desk;
  • Squash courts may be booked with front desk staff up to three days in advance;
  • Members may register for fitness classes at no charge
  • Please call up to two days in advance for Cycle Fit classes to book a bike, limited space is available and extra charges may apply to some classes;

We have qualified Personal Trainers that can help you reach your goals.

One session: $33.30 per hour plus HST

Semi-Private Personal Training

Semi-Private Personal Training is available for two people at a time only. Participants should have similar goals and fitness levels and will be working from the same program. Please call 705-324-9112 for rates and to book your Trainer.
