Leisure Programs and Events

Registration for spring programming will begin Tuesday March 4 at 9am through our Online Program Registration website.

Leisure Programs

he Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Division offers a variety of leisure programs to suit a variety of interests as well as drop-in recreational programs.

How to Register for a Leisure Program
All participants in all of our leisure programs will be required to register through our Online Program Registration website. Pre-registration is required for all programs, with the exception being for drop-in programs. In-person and telephone registration is not available.
New Clients

In order to register online for any of our leisure programs new clients will be required to create an account for our Online Program Registration website.

How to set up an account:

To get started visit our Online Program Registration website at: https://kawarthalakes.perfectmind.com

For the best registration experience, please use Google Chrome or Firefox.  Using other browsers may produce unexpected results.

Steps on how to create an account:

1. Click on the 'Create an Account' button at the bottom of the login box.

 

2. Once all fields have been completed, click the 'Become Member' button at the bottom. You will receive a new temporary password by e-mail.

 

3. After clicking the 'Become Member' button, a new screen will open. On this screen you can edit your account information and add family members to your account. Family members must be listed under your account for you to register them for a program. Add all family member information so that your account is up to date. Once the family is updated, click on your name in the top right corner to log out and exit the web browser.

 

4. Check your e-mail and look for an e-mail from us. Click on the link in the e-mail and log in using the username and password provided in that email.

 

5. When you log in using the username and password that was e-mailed, you will be asked to reset your password. Choose a password that is familiar to you so that you will remember it the next time you log in.

Once you click 'Save', a notification will appear that your password has been successfully changed.  Then log in using your username and updated password.

How to register for a Leisure Program online:

Once an account has been created, you will now be able to register for all Leisure, Fitness and Aquatics programs online through our Online Program Registration website.

 Existing Clients
 

If you are an existing/current client, you can log in to your Online Program Registration website account to register.

Forget your account password?

1. Visit our Online Program Registration website and click on 'Forgot password?'

 

2. Put in your email address (username) and click on ‘Reset Password’.

 

3. Retrieve your new ‘temporary’ password from your email. Be sure to check your junk/spam folder.

 

4. Log in using the temporary password. You will be prompted to enter a new password to use for future logins. Choose a password that is familiar to you so that you will remember it the next time you log in.

 

5. Log in using your username and updated password to access your account.

How to register for a Leisure Program online:

1. Log in to our Online Program Registration website using your username e-mail and password.

 

2. Click on 'Register'.

 

3. Under the 'Leisure' tab, select the program category you wish to register for (i.e., Badminton, Photography, Drop In Pickleball).

Alternatively, you can use the search bar function on the top right corner and search for the program by name or by program barcode.

 

4. Once you have found your desired program that you wish to register for, click the 'Book' button.

For categories with more than one program type, click on the ‘Show’ down arrow to expand and view the available courses.

 

5. Select the profile(s) of the individual(s) for registration and then click 'Next' button.

If you do not see the individual you wish to register, you can click the '+' button to Add Family Member.

 

6. If you are required to complete mandatory forms prior to registering, they will appear on this screen.

Answer all required questions and click the 'Next' button.

 

7. Review the information in the Order Summary page to ensure that the all of information is correct.

If you wish to add/register for additional programs, click on the ‘Continue Shopping’ button.

 

8. Enter your payment method by choosing an existing card or adding a new card for payment. To add a new card, select ‘Add a New Card’ and complete the required fields. 

 

9. Select ‘Place My Order’ to complete your registration. A confirmation screen will appear to confirm your successful registration for the program. You will now receive a confirmation e-mail confirming your registration, as well as a copy of your receipt.

Add to the Community Sports and Leisure Directory

Organizations wishing to be included in the Community Sports and Leisure Directory must meet specific criteria in order to be included. The Parks and Recreation Division reserves the right to omit or remove any Directory listing at any time without notice.

Listings in the directory are free of charge. Inclusion in the Directory does not mean that the municipality endorses, supports, and/or partners with the group or organization in any way.

To be added to the Community Sports and/or Leisure Directory, e-mail your request to the Community Development Coordinator staff.

Leisure Program Proposals

The Parks and Recreation Division is always looking to enhance the programs and services offered throughout Kawartha Lakes. Qualified instructors are always needed for new Leisure Program opportunities within the community on a contract basis.

Do you have a special skill or qualification you would like to share with others? Is there a program you are qualified to instruct that you feel would serve the residents of Kawartha Lakes? Whether your expertise is related to leadership and personal development, health and wellness, arts and culture, or sports and recreation, we would love to hear from you!

Interested instructors are invited to share program idea(s) with us by completing and submitting the online Program Proposal Form below.

The Parks and Recreation Division is committed to providing high quality recreation and leisure programming, services and facilities. Our Recreation Program Feedback Form provides us with valuable feedback that allows us to continue to improve our services.

Refunds, Cancellations and Service Interruptions

Refunds for Programs:

We reserve the right to cancel programs due to insufficient registration. In these cases a full refund/credit will be issued. Refunds/credits for any other reason are subject to approval and a 15% (minimum $5) administration fee.  All requests must be made in writing via e-mail to: recreation@kawarthalakes.ca. Refunds under $20 will be issued only as credit on account for future Parks and Recreation services.

Cancellations and Service Interruptions:

All facility and program changes, cancellations, and/or interruptions, will be posted as an alert on our website, on Facebook, and on X (formerly Twitter). Programs will not operate on statutory holidays unless otherwise stated.
