Provincial Parks

There are four Provincial Parks in Kawartha Lakes. Visit our Parks and Forest Tracts page to find more information about municipal parks.

Balsam Lake Provincial Park

Balsam Lake Provincial Park has a large sandy beach, camping, fishing, gift shop and day trip hiking trails. Canoe, kayak and paddle board rentals are available. It is located on Highway 48 in between Coboconk and Kirkfield.

Emily Provincial Park

Emily Provincial Park has opportunities to fish, camp and enjoy fall colours. It is located on Emily Park Road just outside of Omemee.

Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park

Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park is a non-operating park with no maintained public facilities or services. Visitors should be prepared to use appropriate route finding and safety practices as interior travel beyond access points requires navigating in remote semi-wilderness environments. Camping is not permitted at Victoria Falls, Hunter's Lake, Robinson Lake, Little Gull Lake and Devil's Lake.

Indian Point Provincial Park

Indian Point Provincial Park is located on the north end of Balsam Lake, this park features one of the longest undeveloped shorelines in the Kawartha Lakes region. Consisting of a low, limestone escarpment, this lake shore property is an alvar. There are no visitor facilities. Camping is prohibited.
