Register For a Program

COVID-19 update: In response to the Government of Ontario’s latest announcement and to help protect our clients and the public from COVID-19, all Kawartha Lakes municipal recreation facilities, including recreation complexes, community centres, arenas, halls, and swimming pools will be closed effective January 5, 2022 for at least 21 days (until January 26, 2022).  If you have any questions or concerns, please direct them to:

For individuals who have already registered for a fitness program scheduled to start in January 2022, the program start dates have been delayed. Further updates regarding the winter session will be provided as information becomes available. Individuals wishing to withdraw from a program are asked to e-mail their request to:

Drop in Programs: Any public swim or skate, booked during the closure period will be automatically cancelled.  Any fees paid for these programs will be fully refunded.

Registering for a program with the Kawartha Lakes Parks and Recreation Division is quick and easy. Registration for all Aquatics, Fitness and Leisure programs is available exclusively through our Online Program Registration website.

In person and telephone registration is not currently available for any programs. Registration will take place exclusively online until further notice.

Winter 2022 Program Registration

Winter 2022 program registration will begin online Tuesday, December 14 at 9am.

Registration will take place exclusively through our Online Program Registration website.

A complete listing of programs to be offered will be coming soon.

How to register for a program

In order to register for any aquatics, fitness or leisure programs with the Parks and Recreation Division individuals will require an account through our Online Program Registration website.

Existing Clients

Existing clients can simply visit our Online Program Registration website a log in using their account credentials.

Forget your account password?

1. Visit our Online Program Registration website and click on 'Forgot your password?' at the bottom of the screen.

2. A new temporary password will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your Online Program Registration account.

3. Clients will be asked to reset their password. Choose a password that is familiar to you so that you will remember it the next time you log in.

Once you click the 'Save' button, a notification will appear that you password has been successfully changed. 

Then log in using your username and updated password and you will now be able to access your account.

How to register for a program online

Once you have an account created you can easily search and register for a variety of programs online.

Finding and Registering for Programs:

1. Programs are organized into categories such as Aquatics, Fitness and Wellness, Leisure Programs. Each category has sub-categories beneath it, such as Adult and Teen Programs, Pre-school lessons etc.

2. Click on the sub-category you are interested in.  This will open a new page that shows all the courses listed within that category. 

Use the scroll bar on the right side to scroll down for more programs, or filter using the options in the box on the left side. 

If you do not see the program you are looking for, click on the 'activities' button to go back to the main page to select a different activity.

3. Once you find a program you are interested in, click 'Show Courses' to see when the program is running and to register. 

To book/register for the course click on the 'Book' button.

4. A new tab will open that provides detailed information about that program such as dates, course descriptions, fees, age restrictions etc. 

Click the 'Book' button on the top right to register for the program or click 'Back' to go back to the course listings for that sub-category.

5. After clicking the 'Book' button, if you have not already logged in, the log in page will appear. Once logged in, Step 1 of the registration process, called 'Attendees' opens. 

Choose which of your family members you would like to register for the program.

Note, the yellow '1 spot held' box at the top right hand corner, indicates that your spot will be held for 20 minutes.

6. After choosing the family member to register, the review page will show you what you are registering for.  Sometimes, there will be a questionnaire step, which is a series of questions required for that course, to provide the course instructor with important information prior to the program starting, or as shown below a fees and extras page.

7. At this step, if you would like to register for another program or register another family member for another program, click the 'Book another event' link on the bottom left.  This will bring you back to the main page, and will keep your current program in your cart for later purchase. 

Once you have chosen all of your programs, click on the 'checkout' button at the bottom.

8. At the checkout page, please enter your credit card number and all of the required fields.  Once you click 'Complete', the transaction will go through. 

Once you have have paid for courses, transactions will appear on your account that you can review, and programs will appear in your calendar.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address associated with your account which will have a registration confirmation as well as a receipt from your transaction.

Refunds, Cancellations and Service Interruptions

Refunds for programs:

We reserve the right to cancel programs due to insufficient registration. In these cases a full refund/credit will be issued. Refunds/credits for any other reason are subject to approval and a 15% (minimum $5) administration fee. All requests must be made in writing to the program coordinator via e-mail to: Refunds under $20 will be issued only as credit on account for future Parks and Recreation services.

Refunds for Drop In Programs:

Once a reservation has been made if you are unable to attend your scheduled booking please call 705-324-9112 to cancel your space. Due to limited spaces available, any fees paid will only be refunded as a credit on your account if the cancellation is received a minimum of 48 hours before the booking time. If cancellation is made with less than 48 hours notice fees are non-refundable.

Cancellations and Service Interruptions:

We will post all program cancellations as an alert on our website, on Facebook, and on Twitter. Programs will not operate on statutory holidays unless otherwise stated. For details call 705-324-9112.
