Splash Pads

All municipal Splash Pads are scheduled to open Friday, June 26 under new COVID-19 restrictions. Splash Pads will be open daily from 11am to 7pm.  A limited number of participants will be allowed into the Splash Pad one at a time. The water flow of the Splash Pads will be stopped every couple of hours for sanitzation of the facilities. Water flow will occur: 11am-1pm, 2pm-4pm and 5pm-7pm. 

Our Splash Pads let you cool down while enjoying natural surroundings in a park setting. There are three splash pads in Kawartha Lakes:

Elgin Park Splash Pad

On Wednesday August 14, the municipality of Kawartha Lakes and the Rotary Club of Lindsay celebrated the reopening of the Elgin Park Splash Pad in Lindsay. The upgraded, wheelchair accessible splash pad features new child and tot spray features, a playground and a picnic shelter.

Hours of Operation

Splash Pads will open for the 2020 season on Friday, June 26.

Hours of Operation: 7 days per week, 11am-7pm.

Splash Pad Rules

  • Pets are not allowed on the Splash Pad;
  • All children must have supervision at all times;
  • Swim diapers are required for all children under 4 years of age;
  • Swim suits and/or appropriate attire must be worn at all times;
  • Footwear/sandals are strongly recommended;
  • No food or beverages of any kind are allowed on the Splash Pad;
  • No glass containers or breakable objects are allowed on the Splash Pad;
  • Athletic equipment, balls, bats, beach balls, noodles etc. are not allowed on the Splash Pad;
  • Do not climb, hang, swing or pull on any of the Splash Pad equipment;
  • All participants must conduct themselves in a courteous, safe and family-oriented manner;
  • The Splash Pad cannot be reserved for private parties or functions;
  • In the event of an emergency, call 9-1-1.
