The purpose of the consent application is to facilitate the severance of the property to create one (1) new residential lot to contain a future single detached dwelling.
A Minor Variance application (D20-2024-114) has been submitted and is being processed concurrently with the Consent application.
Original Lot
The property municipally addressed as 88 Pottinger Street is +/- 2,195.36 square metres in size with +/- 26.8 metres of frontage on Pottinger Street. The property currently contains a single detached dwelling and a detached garage. The dwelling is to remain on the property, and the detached garage is to be removed.
Proposed Severed Lot
The proposed severed lot is to be +/- 1,048.06 square metres in size with +/- 12.8 metres of frontage on Pottinger Street. A Minor Variance is required to address the reduced frontage.
Retained Lot
The retained lot is to be +/- 1,147.3 square metres in size with +/- 14 metres of frontage on Pottinger Street. A Minor Variance is required to address the reduced frontage.
If a person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the City of Kawartha Lakes in respect of a proposed consent does not make written submissions to the City of Kawartha Lakes before it gives or refuses to give a provisional consent, the Ontario Land Tribunal may dismiss the appeal.If you wish to be notified of the recommendation and/or the decision of the City of Kawartha Lakes in respect of a proposed consent, you must make a written request to the City of Kawartha Lakes, c/o Development Services – Planning Division, 180 Kent Street West, Lindsay, ON K9V 2Y6 or by email to planningadmin@kawarthalakes.ca.
