Construction Notice: Oakwood Library Restoration

Kawartha Lakes – The Oakwood Library will be having repairs completed over the next several months, as the City of Kawartha Lakes restores this heritage building. These updates will help keep the library safe, accessible, and enjoyable for many more years to come.

Project work includes:

• Brick replacement and repairs
• Repairing stonework in various locations
• Rebuilding concrete stairs at North and South entrances with new railings
• Installing a new steel door to the accessible lift
• Painting and repairs to existing entrance doors

The project is anticipated to start in early April and end in September.

Library updates

During the construction period, the Oakwood Library remains open to the public during regular hours. Alternate entrances will be used as main entrances to the building. Signage will be posted to direct library visitors.
