Delayed/Missed Waste Collection - December 10, 2025

UPDATE - December 10, 4:30pm: 

Due to today’s challenging winter weather, some areas will not receive waste and recycling collection.

Miller Waste will be collecting until 7pm tonight. If your items aren't collected by then, please contact Miller Waste directly at 1-888-557-4711 or email kawarthalakes@millerwaste.ca.

What to do if your waste is missed

Garbage:
If your garbage is not collected, your next scheduled collection day will be a double collection day. Households may place up to four bags (your missed bags, plus your regular two-bag limit).

Recycling:
If your recycling is missed, please bring it back inside and set it out again in two weeks on your regular recycling day (since recycling alternates weekly between container [blue bin] and paper/fibre [green bin]).

Example:
Your container (blue bin) recycling was missed due to a delay on Thursday, February 15. Since Thursday, February 22 is a paper/fibre (green bin) collection day, we ask you to hold on to your container recycling until your next container recycling day on Thursday, February 29.
