Funding now open for non-profits in Kawartha Lakes

Kawartha Lakes – If you’re part of a local non-profit, two funding programs are now open that could help support the great work you do in our community.

Kawartha Lakes is now accepting applications for the Local Economic Development Support Grant and the Cultural Facilities Operational Support Grant. These programs help cover operating costs for non-profits that build community pride and boost our local economy.

The Local Economic Development Support Grant offers funding for non-profits focused on local economic and community development. In 2025, $100,000 is available to eligible groups.

The Cultural Facilities Operational Support Grant supports non-profit cultural organizations that operate a cultural facility open to the public, like museums, galleries, theatres, and historical societies. A total of $200,000 in funding is available in 2025 to help these groups continue their work in preserving and sharing local culture.

Eligible organizations can apply for up to 25 percent of their fixed operating costs, to a maximum of $20,000. Funding must be used for costs in the 2025 calendar year.  Projects should support local goals, such as the Kawartha Lakes Strategic PlanEconomic Development Strategy or Cultural Master Plan

Applications open April 15, 2025, and close May 20, 2025.
