Lindsay Transit temporarily reducing Saturday service hours starting October 12, 2024
Kawartha Lakes – Lindsay Transit’s recent pilot expansion of service hours has been a success. However, the transit service is currently experiencing staffing shortages due to various factors.
In response, Lindsay Transit has decided to temporarily reduce service hours on select Saturdays, while recruitment, training, and onboarding of additional staff continues.
This decision follows considerable efforts to staff shifts with existing resources and is aimed at minimizing service disruptions. The short-term return to historical hours will affect the following Saturdays:
- Saturday October 12, 2024 – 7am to 7pm
- Saturday October 19, 2024 – 7am to 7pm
- Saturday October 26, 2024 – 7am to 7pm
Regular service hours (until 10pm) will resume on Saturday November 2, 2024. Please note, this temporary hour’s reduction is only for Saturdays. Our Monday to Friday service will still be operating until 10pm.
We appreciate the community’s understanding and patience as we work to restore full service as quickly as possible.
