Municipal hours of operation for the upcoming Civic Holiday on Monday August 4, 2025

Kawartha Lakes – Please note the following changes to our hours of operation and service schedules on Monday August 4 (Civic Holiday).

Administration Offices
All Administration and Municipal Service Centres are closed on Monday August 4. Municipal Service Centres will return to regular business hours on Tuesday August 5.

Waste and Recycling
The Lindsay landfill will be closed on Monday August 4. The Fenelon landfill will be open for their regular scheduled hours on the holiday Monday from 9am to 5pm. The Eldon, Laxton and Somerville landfills will also be open from 11am to 5pm on the holiday Monday.

Please remember that all curbside waste and recycling collection will shift forward a day due to the Civic Holiday:

• Monday August 4 collection moves to Tuesday August 5
• Tuesday August 5 collection moves to Wednesday August 6
• Wednesday August 6 collection moves to Thursday August 7
• Thursday August 7 collection moves to Friday August 8

Organics Program pick-up moves from Friday August 8 to Saturday August 9. Please be sure to have your organics rollout cart to your curb by 7am.

Public Library
All library branches will be closed on Monday August 4, with regular operating hours returning on Tuesday August 5.

Our Digital Library is always open! Library patrons can access books, audio books, magazines and research databases all online. All you need is your Kawartha Lakes Public Library card.

Lindsay Transit
There will be no Lindsay Transit or LIMO Specialized Transit service on Monday August 4.

Regular service will return on Tuesday August 5.

Parks and Recreation
There will be no fitness classes running Saturday August 2 to Monday August 4, 2025. Fitness classes will resume at the Lindsay Recreation Complex, Victoria Park Armoury and Forbert Memorial Pool and Workout Centre in Bobcaygeon Tuesday August 5, 2025.

There will be no swimming lessons on Sunday August 3, 2025. All Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed on Monday August 4 for the Civic Holiday. This includes the Administrative Office, all Recreation Centres, Arenas and Pools.

The Weight Room and pools at the Lindsay Recreation Complex and Forbert Memorial Pool, Bobcaygeon will resume regular hours on Tuesday August 5, 2025.

Summer Day Camp Programs at the Lindsay Recreation Complex will resume regular hours on Tuesday August 5, 2025.
