Oakwood Drinking Water System upgrades may result in pressure fluctuations on March 25, 2025

Kawartha Lakes – Users of the municipal drinking water system in Oakwood may experience periods of pressure fluctuations and/or low pressure on Tuesday March 25, 2024 due to system upgrades and the required temporary shutdown of the Oakwood Reservoir.
These fluctuations will be temporary and regular pressure levels will resume once the upgrades have been completed. Please note that this will not affect the quality of water. Water remains safe to drink.
There may be brief periods of time when your water becomes cloudy or discoloured; please note that this is not harmful. Simply let your cold-water tap run until the water runs clear. Be sure to check your drinking, cooking and laundry water before using.
Please reach out at any time if you have questions or concerns regarding your drinking water. For additional information on water quality and treatment in Kawartha Lakes please visit the Water Quality page on our website.
For Annual Drinking Water Reports please visit the Water, Wastewater and Sewer page and look for the Annual Reports (Drinking Water and Wastewater) tab.
