Proposed Road Allowance Closure and Sale - Road Allowance Adjacent to 7700 Highway 35

Take Notice that, pursuant to By-law 2018-020, as amended, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes will hear a proposal to declare a portion of the road allowance legally described as Part of the Road Allowance between Lot 8 and Lot 9, Concession 10; Laxton, Part 4 on Plan 579155; Kawartha Lakes (PIN: 63273-0445) and the road allowance legally described as Part of the Shore Road Allowance along the Westerly Shore of the Gull River in Front of Lot 8, Concession 10, Closed by R143655, Part 3 on Plan 57R9155; Kawartha Lakes (PIN: 63273-0446)  surplus to its needs at its Committee of the Whole meeting to be held on the 10th day of March 2026 commencing at 1:00 p.m.,  followed by its Regular Council Meeting to be held on the 24th day of March 2026 commencing at 1:00 p.m.  Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 26 Francis Street, Lindsay, Ontario.  Should the proposal be approved, City Council will proceed to pass a by-law to stop up and close that part of the road allowance and authorize the sale of the land to the adjacent property owner.

And Take Further Notice that at the said meeting the Council shall hear in person or by their Counsel, Solicitor or Agent any person who claims that his or her land would be prejudicially affected by the by-law and who applies to be heard.
