Proposed Road Allowance Closure and Sale - Shoreline Road Allowance Adjacent to 94 Talbot Road

Take Notice that, pursuant to By-law 2018-020, as amended, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes will hear a proposal to declare a portion of the shoreline road allowance adjacent to the property legally described as East Part of Part Lot 1, Concession 8; Laxton, as in R212349; Subject to A25342; Kawartha (PIN: 63113-0161) surplus to its needs at its Committee of the Whole meeting to be held on the 10 day of March 2026 commencing at 1:00 p.m.,  followed by its Regular Council Meeting to be held on the 24 day of March 2026 commencing at 1:00 p.m.  Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 26 Francis Street, Lindsay, Ontario.  Should the proposal be approved, City Council will proceed to pass a by-law to stop up and close that part of the road allowance and authorize the sale of the land to the adjacent property owner.

And Take Further Notice that at the said meeting the Council shall hear in person or by their Counsel, Solicitor or Agent any person who claims that his or her land would be prejudicially affected by the by-law and who applies to be heard.
