Proposed Surplus Declaration, Closure and Sale – Portion of SLRA along Grove Road

Take Notice that, pursuant to By-law 2018-020, as amended, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes will hear a proposal to declare a portion of shoreline road allowance legally described as McArthur Avenue on Plan 114, Part of Lot 33 on Plan 114 as in F7313 description may not be acceptable in future as in F7313, in the Geographic Township of Fenelon, in the City of Kawartha Lakes (PIN: 63160-0177); and Byrnell Avenue on Plan 166; Byrnell Avenue on Plan 121, subject to R142782; except Part 6 on Plan 57R-9829, in the Geographic Township of Fenelon, in the City of Kawartha Lakes (PIN: 63160-0442), surplus to its needs at its Committee of the Whole meeting to be held on September 10, 2024 commencing at 1:00 p.m., followed by its Regular Council Meeting to be held on September 24, 2024 commencing at 1:00 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 26 Francis Street, Lindsay, Ontario. Should the proposal be approved, City Council will proceed to pass a by-law to stop up and close that part of the road allowance and authorize the sale of the land to the adjacent property owner.

And Take Further Notice that at the said meeting the Council shall hear in person or by their Counsel, Solicitor or Agent any person who claims that his or her land would be prejudicially affected by the by-law and who applies to be heard.
