Public Notice – Street Naming in the area of Highway 35 and Riverwood Park Road, Lindsay

Kawartha Lakes – The Council of the City of Kawartha Lakes intends to pass a by-law at the January 28, 2025 Regular Council Meeting to approve and implement the naming of an existing Ministry of Transportation owned public service road being a northerly extension of Homestead Drive north of Riverwood Park Road in the former Township of Ops to be formally named “Homestead Drive”.

Council also intends to pass a by-law at the January 28, 2025 Regular Council Meeting to approve and implement the naming of an existing Ministry of Transportation owned public service road being west of Highway 35, and east of the northerly extension of Homestead Drive in the former Township of Ops to be formally named “Wagstaff Road”.

This Notice is given in accordance with the City of Kawartha Lakes Public Notice By-law 2023-209 by the Office of the City Clerk.

Kawartha Lakes Council has given direction to name the two service roads as described in the above Public Notice. These names will be adopted by by-law at the Regular City Council Meeting held on January 28, 2025. The following optional ways to comment are available:

• If you wish to submit correspondence, or register to speak in support of the street naming proposal, please email the Office of the City Clerk prior to 12:00pm (noon) on Friday, January 24, 2025 at agendaitems@kawarthalakes.ca to be a part of the January 28, 2025 Regular Council Meeting;
• If you wish to submit correspondence, or register to speak in opposition to the street naming proposal, please email the Office of the City Clerk prior to 12:00pm (noon) on Friday, January 10, 2025 at agendaitems@kawarthalakes.ca to be a part of the January 14, 2025 Committee of the Whole Meeting;
