‘That’s a Wrap’ Public Art program returns to Kawartha Lakes
Kawartha Lakes - The City of Kawartha Lakes is inviting local artists to take part in the 2026 ‘That’s a Wrap’ Traffic Control Box art program.
Visual artists and graphic designers from Kawartha Lakes can submit original artwork that will be reproduced and installed on select traffic control boxes in the community. The goal is to brighten public spaces, reduce graffiti, and connect communities through art.
This year’s theme is “The People of Kawartha Lakes,” in celebration of the City’s 25th anniversary. Artists can show the people of the area in many ways, from important moments in history, to everyday life in local communities.
Six artworks will be chosen for traffic control boxes: two in Bobcaygeon and four in Lindsay. Seven more pieces will be selected for the 2027 Municipal Calendar, including the cover.
“This program not only brings colour and creativity to our streets, but it also provides a valuable platform for local artists to showcase their work,” said Donna Goodwin, Economic Development Officer – Culture. “We’re excited to see how artists interpret this year’s theme and reflect the diverse voices and experiences across Kawartha Lakes.”
